Connectors - BNC
BNC Connectors - The BNC connector was named after Neill-Concelman (Paul Neill and Carl Concelman) with the added word Bayonet, hence BNC. Twist lock design, the BNC connector will have two lugs on the female conenctor and two slots on the male connector. Available in both 50 and 75 Ohm versions as well as other Ohm versions (ARCNET and ethernet for example). BNC connectors and MHV are very similar however even though they can be mated by force, there is a definite safety hazard if being used for high voltgage with the wrong mating. The BNC connector is also available in a threaded connector having better RF characteristics at higher frequencies and it is called a TNC connector.
