Adapters - MC MCX MMCX
MC / MCX / MMCX RF Adapters
This section contains RF adapters that have an MC, MCX or MMCX connector on one side. These adapters are used to connect equipment or coaxial cables having one of these miniature RF connectors to another RF connector type.
MC, MCX and MMCX are compact RF connector families commonly found on small radios, antennas, GPS equipment, wireless devices, test equipment and other applications where space is limited. MCX and MMCX connectors use snap-on mating systems that allow connections to be made without a threaded coupling nut.
Important: MC, MCX and MMCX are different connector families and are not interchangeable simply because they are similar in size and appearance. Verify the exact connector family before selecting an adapter.
These miniature connectors are frequently described using the terms Plug and Jack. For standard MCX and MMCX interfaces, the Plug has the male center contact (pin) and the Jack has the female center contact (socket). Because other miniature RF connector families may use different conventions, always verify the exact connector family, mating interface and center-contact configuration before ordering.
Also verify the connector type and gender required on the opposite side of the adapter, as well as the impedance and frequency requirements of your RF system.
