Adapters - Motorola RCA MHV MX

This section contains adapters involving Motorola-style automotive antenna connectors, RCA/phono connectors, MHV connectors, Motorola MX-style interfaces, and other connector families used with them.

These connector types may appear similar in some applications but should not be assumed to be electrically or mechanically interchangeable. Select an adapter by identifying the connector required on both ends and, where applicable, the equipment or radio model being connected.

Motorola-style antenna connectors are commonly encountered on older automotive radios and scanners. RCA connectors are widely used for audio and video but also appear in RF applications. MHV is a high-voltage coaxial connector family that resembles BNC; MHV and BNC should not be intentionally intermated. Motorola MX-style antenna interfaces were used on various portable radios and may have different RF contact arrangements depending upon the equipment.

Before ordering, verify connector family, mating interface, center-contact arrangement, and application. If an adapter is intended for a particular vintage radio or scanner, identifying the equipment model is especially useful.
