Connectors - FME

FME Connector - FME stands for "For Mobile Equipment." The FME is a compact 50 Ohm RF connector designed with a small outside diameter, making it especially useful when coaxial cable must be routed through a vehicle, small opening or tight equipment installation.

The FME connector uses an 8mm x 0.75mm pitch metric thread. Its small size made it popular for mobile radio, cellular, wireless and other mobile antenna installations where a larger RF connector could be difficult to pass through panels, grommets or confined spaces. An adapter can then be used at the equipment end when another connector type is required.

FME connectors are available for a variety of coaxial cable types. When selecting an FME connector, verify the cable type and dimensions, connector gender and attachment method required for your installation.
