Works great for Dipoles, Inverted Vees, Loops, End Fed and Random Wire antennas!
These are great pulleys for your antennas! The split mounting is great for running your antenna wire into the pulley. Simply open the mount and place the wire onto the wheel. No more pulling the entire length of wire through the pulley (see the last pic).
The sheave (wheel) is nylon, it has a nice edge and groove. Use one at each corner of your loop to equalize the span pulls and sags. Helps to prevent wear on your antenna wire by allowing the spans to move as they shrink and expand.
For dipoles these work great for the center support pulley either on a pipe or mast or the side of your tower. Run a hoist rope or line through the pulley and raise and lower the dipole center without fuss and climbing. I use one of these style pulleys here at my QTH for my multi-band dipole center support and it works great.
If you are using trees or other things that can move in the wind for the end supports on your dipoles or other wire antennas, these work great for the end support to place the counter weight. When the wind blows and the tree moves, the wire moves easy in the pulley which helps minimize wire breakage and insulator breaks.
If you are using a cloth or cord for the pulley support, I would suggest a inexpensive carabiner to prevent damage to the cord by the pulley mounts.
Intended only for wire antenna supports - these are not rated nor intended for overhead load support or to support a person. Always use caution with things above your head!
