TNC RF Adapters

This section contains RF adapters that have a TNC connector on one side. TNC adapters are used to connect TNC-equipped coaxial cables, antennas, radios, test equipment and other RF devices to a different RF connector type.

The TNC (Threaded Neill-Concelman) connector is a threaded version of the BNC connector and uses a 7/16"-28 UNEF coupling thread. The threaded coupling provides a secure connection and makes the TNC well suited for applications where vibration, movement or environmental conditions could cause a bayonet-style connector to loosen.

TNC connectors are commonly used in radio communications, antennas, wireless equipment, test equipment and other RF applications. Standard TNC connectors are normally 50 Ohm. When selecting an adapter, verify the connector type, male or female gender, impedance and any applicable frequency requirements for your installation.

Important: TNC and reverse-polarity TNC (RP-TNC) connectors are different. Although they use the same coupling thread, the center contacts are reversed. Verify whether your equipment uses standard TNC or RP-TNC before ordering an adapter.
