Product Details
Why Low Pim? Modern equipment used for data or cellular/PCS systems will frequently be able to operate at or below the noise floor over a wider bandwidth. The equipment needs the clearest spectrum possible for efficient operation. Using a standard connector or equipment in the antenna, line and system will often create what is called "Passive Intermodulation" or simply put, a created signal that masks the wanted signal. The created signal is a unwanted signal made by mixing in non-linear connections. This is seen as tested by the equations 2F1-F2 and 2F2-F1 using high level carriers or signals to check for non-linear connections. PIM is rated in dBc. Not everyone needs Low Pim products, but if you are working with data, spread spectrum and similar systems you should highly consider it.
*3rd order test done in controlled tech room environment - temperature, humidity, connector tightness, mating connectors and other factors can affect performance of Low PIM products.
