Hot Wheels 30th Anniversary
To celebrate 30 years of Hot Wheels, Mattel released 30 models—one for each year. Next to those 30 models, a boxed set of those same 30 models was released. All models came in their period appropriate package and in a blue box. Additionally Hot Wheels chose the first original in-house designed concept vehicle the TWIN MILL as a "flagship" to commemorate the series.
The Hot Wheels 30th Anniversary features 30 different models that were launched in 1998.
These are from a previous dealer stock or that dealer's personal die-cast and car collection. These have been stored away for many years. Each has been safely stored away from light, odors and other things that cause problems such as excessive yellowing of the outer blisters, fading, etc. Many of these were originally obtained by the dealer direct in factory cases or the dealer/collector purchased them at retail for his collection. Each is considered new and the date shown is the date indicated on card. Cards are considered to have the normal factory corner and edge tooling bumps, factory marks, blister scuffs and shrinkage - bends and issues associated with their age and the image should be reviewed for any issues.
Special Notes (may not be obvious in image): As
previously mentioned, these are from a dealer's personal collection. In
the box for these was a note (not included) that these had come from JC
Penny (and indeed the JC Penny price tag is still attached). We are
unclear if JC Penny had any unique cars in this series, but you probably
know more than us. Each box is pretty straight and clean, some of the
clear plastic has some scuffing of various amounts. Each image is the
item. Some of these might be a JC Penny collectable as well.
Note to buyer: These are a collectible item. As such there is no return. A collectible once opened or frequently handled loses the value it had. Again all sales are final and these are sold AS-IS AS-FOUND with no return. We are not experts in this field and make no grading judgements. Not responsible for typos or other errors or omissions. This item will ship in a box for protection. We do not ship in cheap envelopes that can ruin your item almost every time like some other sellers do. Shipping in a box gives your purchase a much better chance of getting to you without damage.
